What began as a passion for authentic North Indian cooking has evolved into a beloved family restaurant in the heart of Drumheller, Alberta.
Chef Kunwar Singh (Kamal) began his culinary journey in North India, learning traditional recipes passed down through generations. His passion for authentic flavors and fresh ingredients became the foundation of everything that followed.
With decades of experience perfecting his craft, Chef Kamal brought his culinary expertise to Canada, carrying with him the authentic recipes, techniques, and passion that would soon delight a new community.
Petu Indian Curry & Kabab opened its doors at 71 Bridge St, quickly becoming a hidden gem for locals and tourists alike. The name "Petu" means "foodie" in Hindi - a perfect reflection of our passion for great food.
Today, Petu continues to serve authentic North Indian, Pakistani, and Middle Eastern cuisine made from scratch daily. Every dish reflects our commitment to quality, generous portions, and the warm hospitality of a family-owned restaurant.
